Getting started
What do I need?
A Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 26 or later. The built-in on-device model also needs Apple Intelligence: turn it on in System Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri.
Where is Peki after I open it?
In the menu bar. The leftmost face is Peki; your agents sit next to it. Your notes are on the Shelf at the edge of the screen, and all of them are in the Notes window (⌥⌘A).
How do I make my first agent?
Right-click Peki in the menu bar and choose New Agent…, or open Settings → Agents. Describe what it should do in a sentence and Peki suggests a name, a personality and a face.
Agents and models
The agent says its model isn't available.
The on-device model needs Apple Intelligence turned on. You can also pick another model for that agent in its editor, under Model.
How do I use Claude Code, Codex or Cursor?
Install the tool and sign in once in Terminal. Peki then shows it as connected in the model list. Peki runs the tool for you and never sees your sign-in.
Where do I enter an API key?
Settings → Assistant. Keys are kept in your Keychain.
A scheduled job didn't run.
Jobs run while Peki is open. A job missed while your Mac was off runs once when Peki opens, within 24 hours. Turn on Open Peki at login in Settings → General → Startup.
A connection asks me to sign in.
Open Settings → Agents and choose Sign In… on that connection's row. To turn it on for an agent, use the agent's editor or Popular Connections….
Notes and the Shelf
Can I turn the Shelf off?
Yes: Settings → Shelf → Use the Shelf. Your notes stay in the Notes window.
How do I export my notes?
File → Export: Markdown or plain text (one file per note), a single document, or a .stickies archive.
Can I bring my notes from Noty?
Yes. In Noty, export a .stickies archive, then choose File → Import… in Peki.
My recording has no sound.
Your microphone is probably muted, sometimes by a meeting app. Peki warns you and offers Unmute Microphone.
Peki Pro
How do I activate my license?
Settings → General → Peki Pro → Enter License Key…, then paste the key from your purchase email.
I can't find my license key.
Look for the email from Polar, our payment provider. If it isn't there, write to destek@getpeki.app from the address you used to buy.
How do I move Peki Pro to a new Mac?
You can use it on up to three Macs. To free one up, choose Remove from This Mac… in Settings → General → Peki Pro.
What happens when the trial ends?
Your notes, the Shelf, tasks and reminders keep working. Chatting with agents and their jobs need Peki Pro.
I have a billing question.
Polar handles the payment. For anything about your purchase, write to destek@getpeki.app.
Updates and your data
How does Peki update?
Once a day, if you allow it, Peki checks getpeki.app for a new version. Settings → General → Updates → Check Now checks right away.
Where is my data?
On your Mac, encrypted. Peki has no server and no account. The privacy policy lists every feature that sends data, and where.
How do I uninstall Peki?
Quit Peki and move it to the Trash. To delete your notes and agents too, also delete the folder ~/Library/Containers/app.getpeki.peki. This can't be undone, so export first if you want to keep your notes.
